Founded by four people “with decades of combined experience in visual art, design, art direction, photography, videography, styling, publishing, writing and web design” who had given up on boundaries, they’ve torn down barriers between disciplines as well as between work and life, establishing a viable platform for creating things for themselves and others, alone or with external collaborators. Harnessing their enthusiasm and talent they have worked together to create beloved everyday objects: “the ones that surround us, the ones we reach for again and again—[that] should also bring a bit of beauty into our homes and lives.” Preserving and exerting their creative process in bursts of productivity, they are always in motion, disbanding and reconnecting around themes or sets of ideas that inspire them. Each theme guides a careful curation of assorted goods, partnering up with artists and makers alike to make fun and unique products. “We select goods based on our love of art and design, and on our desire to keep the things in our homes to a simple, thoughtful minimum. Every product in the shop is something we already use, wear, treasure and love, or something we can’t wait to have in our own lives.” The first collection is inspired by childhood wonder; entitled ‘Go Play’ it is a bright, colourful and imaginative assortment of pieces ranging from crayons to clothes, furniture to toys. “Everything in this collection makes us smile.”
